It's so hard to say goodbye...

Wood floors, comfortable bar stools, custom made velvet sofa and chairs.
Harmony in Wood, Velvet and Leather

Today is a melancholy day.  I sit here on a grey leather mid-back barstool with my laptop on the Taj Mahal quartzite countertop.  We have painted, replaced some floors, and refinished others.  We installed new built-ins, designed custom furniture, faux-finished outlet covers, and so much more.

The vast majority of our work is repeat business, and almost all of the rest is referral based, but there still is part of me that is sad that we are "done".  Who will scratch their cat's ears?  Who will rearrange the pillows so that the zippers are all on the bottoms?

We do really love our clients, one accidentally texted "I love you" to us recently it wasn't hard nor forced to reply "We love you too."  If we are this sentimental about completing a project boy are we in trouble when our son goes off to college.  Perhaps virtual college will be a thing...

Update:  As we finished up this post our current client sent us some very kind words followed by a question  "...is beginning to focus on the outside (patio, etc). Do you do work or that sort?"  As we like to say "We Do That!"
